Registrar of Voters

The primary mission of the Office of the Registrar of Voters is to enroll walk-in voters and conduct annual voter canvasses to register qualified voters; to maintain an accurate list of registered voters and keep voting records up to date; to set up polling places and provide voting machines; and to supervise primary and general elections.

As of April 2020, there are 27,748 registered voters in West Haven.

On Aug. 11, 2020, THE POLLS WILL BE OPEN for the Presidential Preference Primary. See the list of Polling Places.

Please note that District 1 moved from City Hall to Elks Lodge 1537, 265 Main St.; District 2 moved from Surfside to Savin Rock Community School, 50 Park St.; and District 5 moved from John Prete to Simchat Yisrael, 870 First Ave.
