West Haven Interagency Network for Children (WHINC)


The Local System of Care’s goal is to provide support services to West Haven’s children, adolescents and their families through collaboration.

WHINC meets the third Wednesday of each month at City Hall, 355 Main St. Programs include parent and adolescent support groups, after-school and evening activities, such as karate, bowling and special events, and a summer program. Groups

  • Adolescent Support Group for adolescents with special needs meets the last Tuesday of each month at City Hall, 355 Main St. For information, call Viola Waldo at 203-804-5326.
  • Autism Family Support Group meets the first Wednesday of each month at City Hall, 355 Main St., from 6:30-8:30 p.m. For information, call Diane Dietman at 203-937-3633, ext. 2021.
  • Parent Support Group for special needs children meets the second Monday of each month at City Hall, 355 Main St., from 6:30-8:30 p.m. For information, call Viola Waldo at 203-804-5326.
