Savin Rock Conference Center
Home of Legendary Savin Rock
The Savin Rock Conference Center caters to any occasion, hosting everything from business conventions and seminars to weddings and anniversary parties.
The contemporary waterfront building, which overlooks West Havenís crown jewel shore, bustling beach walk and old Savin Rock landmark, boasts breathtaking panoramas of Long Island Sound, including New Havenís Lighthouse Point.
The building, which had housed three prominent restaurants and had been in disrepair for years, received an extensive makeover in 1994, thanks to $946,000 in federal and state grant funds. The Savin Rock Conference Center opened April 9, 1997, under the administration of then-Mayor H. Richard Borer Jr.
The theme of the center, which is bedecked with vintage oldfangled photographs and memorabilia, commemorates the legacy and spirit of West Havenís bygone Savin Rock amusement park, once a popular resort destination for New Englanders.
